Elizabeth Yu’s Traditional Animation

In the traditional animation study this week, since I have not arrived in London, I can only learn independently according to the video case uploaded by Joseph, which is really sad to be honest.

Since I didn’t have a copy screen, I had to use the iPad to draw traditional animations frame by frame. The traditional animation I draw is of a person’s face changing and angrily saying “What it’s going on!” This sentence. When I draw each frame, I keep a mirror at my hand, and I constantly refer to the changes of my own expression and modify it. It’s amazing how many frames can be drawn in a two-second animation. This process actually makes me feel conflicted, boring and interesting. It was boring to draw similar pictures over and over again, but I found it quite interesting to look in the mirror and analyze the changes in the rich and subtle expressions on my face. I tried to glower, the expression as far as possible to do more exaggerated than before, did not think of the final draw out of the effect was surprisingly good! Just because I’ve been concentrating so hard on painting, my neck feels a little uncomfortable. It seems that the combination of work and rest is really very important!
