Critical analysis
As a portrait film, the portrait is very abstract in my stop-motion animation. I used the rose and the moon, and the rose’s expression flashed by, but the moon didn’t even have an expression. The real “person” only appears in the last few seconds, exactly speaking, the film does not make people realize it is a portrait film immediately. For the portrait of the character, the portrait I express is myself. Since I haven’t seen my “moon” for 10 years, I can’t paint his portrait. What I want to express more is the transmission and change of emotion and mood. Repeat my emotions at that time in the form of stop-motion animation and use frame animation to show that I still have good imagination and wishes after releasing this unrequited love. However, I felt that what I wanted to express was not very clear, so that my friend did not immediately get what I wanted to express.I shared my finished film with my friends, and what my friends saw was “Dead rose, picked up by others to confess to the one they like. The rose, which had fought for love but lost all her life, was given the meaning of “expressing love.” I think her understanding is very interesting. Everyone has different feelings when watching the same film. I like to hear more angles and voices.
